Кодирует HTML-символы или печатный Unicode. Однопроходное декодирование HTML; теги остаются текстом. При кодировании исключены NUL, непарные суррогаты и управляющие C1. Преобразование текста, не очистка HTML.

Convert text locally between literal characters and HTML character references. Encode ampersands, angle brackets, quotes and apostrophes as special references, or encode supported Unicode code points as decimal or hexadecimal references; decode references with a single pass. Input is limited to 100,000 characters and unsupported control or surrogate code points are rejected. This is an encoder/decoder, not an HTML sanitizer or parser.
