Codeert HTML-tekens of afdrukbare Unicode. Eenmalige HTML-decodering; tags blijven tekst. NUL, ongepaarde surrogaten en C1-besturingstekens zijn uitgesloten bij codering. Tekstconversie, geen HTML-sanitatie.

HTML-tekenencoder en decoder

Convert text locally between literal characters and HTML character references. Encode ampersands, angle brackets, quotes and apostrophes as special references, or encode supported Unicode code points as decimal or hexadecimal references; decode references with a single pass. Input is limited to 100,000 characters and unsupported control or surrogate code points are rejected. This is an encoder/decoder, not an HTML sanitizer or parser.
